4th PACKTECH EXPO BALKAN 2005

INTERNATIONAL TRADE FAIR OF PACKAGING MATERIALS MACHINERY AND APPLIANCES took place at the Belgrade Fair from 14 to 17September 2005

PACKING DOES NOT MAKE A PRODUCT BUT IT LEAVES AN IMPRESSION

Opening the PACKTECH EXPO AND COMBAK EXPO, Mr. Velimir Ilic, the Minister of Capital Investments in the Government of the Republic of Serbia, reminded that Serbia takes out 150 million US Dollars annually for the import of packing machinery and 50 million US Dollars for the packing and added that one of major sales problems of our goods at foreign market is just the packing method and the packing itself. Even more due to the changed worldwide standards in goods transportation. The Minister Ilic expressed his pleasure that Italy is the Partner Country of the PACKTECH EXPO fair event, having pointed out that this country took out 33 million US Dollars for the development of the small and medium-sized enterprises in Serbia, mostly in the packing machinery and equipment.

ITALY, THE PARTNER COUNTRY

Italy is the Partner Country at PACKTECH EXPO Fair. The trade with Italy within packing made an increase of 130 percents last year and it reaches some 44 million EUR, says Mrs. Milija Orlandini, the representative of the Italian Foreign Trade Institute. The Institute is a Governmental institution and it performs, first of all, promotion of Italian economy and one of the forms is fair event participation, such as at Belgrade PACKTECH EXPO.

In Belgrade Fair Hall 1, 225 local and international companies from 25 countries exhibit contemporary technologies, materials, equipment and machinery for packing production and packing itself. There are almost no products being not packed and, although the packing does not make the product, it leaves an impression. Just this is the reason that the first professional fair PACKTECH EXPO attracted many interested visitors. There are large crowds, especially at the exhibiting stands of packing equipment and machinery.
